STEP 3: Post the video to YouTube to the Micro Meanies account.

STEP 4: Invite your friends and family to watch your video audition and make comments. Share it wherever you want.

STEP 5: Email us the URL of your YouTube video.

YOU COULD WIN: An opportunity to audition for the casting team for "The Micro Meanies" motion picture and have lunch with the publicity team behind The Micro Meanies, plus 6 copies of The Micro Meanies books signed by the authors.

Tips to Make Your Audition Awesome now

REHEARSE:

• With your friends
• In front of a mirror
• Record your performance and play it back

WERE YOU:

• Believable
• Energetic
• Comfortable in your performance

BE CRITICAL:

• Did you move around too much
• Did you move your hands too much
• Did you show any nervous habits (like flicking your hair)
• Did you know your lines

A FEW MORE SUGGESTIONS:

React to what the other characters say - this is part of acting

Say your lines clearly, don’t rush

Stay focused on your character

Use props (a purse, books, a scarf) if it helps get into character

REMEMBER:

There’s nothing wrong with being nervous

Practice your lines, but don’t be too dramatic – believability is key.

Be energetic, but not over the top - think about how you’d talk to your own friends about something and use the same emotions.

Be imaginative about your character, think about what they might be like and use those feelings.
